How collective grief lives in the body

The Earth is a sphere, holding all living beings—vibrating together within a shared field.

We exist beneath the same blanket of frequency, interconnected in ways both seen and unseen. Through this connection, we feel one another’s pain.

At this time, the world is aching.

How do we take care of each other—while first learning how to stabilize and care for ourselves?

In the midst of the current state of the world, there is so much pain—sorrow, fear, anxiety, anger and grief.

In the mapping of our biofield, these collective emotions can gather in the left side of the chest, held as a dense and heavy energy—often felt as a quiet sense of despair.

At times, people come to sessions sharing that they feel overwhelmed by emotions connected to the state of the world. Through Reiki, we can work with the heart chakra to support the release and rebalancing of this energy.

What we can do for ourselves at home is simple: gently bring awareness to the breath, and breathe into the left side of the chest, letting the heaviness melt, and slowly allowing a sense of balance to return to the heart space. At the same time, we can hold the intention of transforming what we feel—letting these emotions move into thoughtful, grounded actions that contribute, in small ways, to a more caring world.

Our actions channel the energy in internal and external world. A lot of time, these small actions start from self-care.
